Omnipod DASH®

Discover a simple and discreet way to deliver your insulin
If you use multiple daily injections (MDI) or tubed insulin pumps, take a look at the Omnipod DASH Insulin Management System. It uses a tubeless, wearable and waterproof* Pod that provides up to 3 days (72 hours) of non-stop insulin delivery, combined with an intuitive touchscreen Personal Diabetes Manager (PDM).
You can wear the Omnipod DASH Pod almost anywhere an injection can be given. Placement is easy and completed at the touch of a button, making insulin delivery virtually pain-free.
You can use the Omnipod DASH PDM to conveniently and discreetly communicate† with your Pod, adjusting insulin doses anywhere you are.

The Pod

The Omnipod DASH Pod is a small, tubeless, wearable and waterproof* device that you fill with up to 200 units of U-100 insulin and wear directly on your body.
The Omnipod DASH Pod includes a small, flexible cannula that inserts automatically with the push of a button.
The Omnipod DASH Pod communicates wirelessly with the PDM to program insulin delivery.†
Convinced that the Pod is right for you?
Three Simple Steps to Insulin Delivery
Step 1. Fill the Pod.
The Omnipod DASH Pod automatically primes itself and performs a series of safety checks to prepare for insulin delivery.
Step 2. Apply the Pod.
Place your Pod almost anywhere you would give yourself an insulin injection.
Step 3. Press Start.
The cannula inserts automatically and insulin delivery begins at the touch of a button.
*The Pod has a waterproof IP28 rating for up to 7.6 metres (25 feet) for 60 minutes. The PDM is not waterproof.
†At start up, the Pod and Personal Diabetes Manager (PDM) must be adjacent and touching. The Pod and PDM should be within at least 1.5 metres to start the delivery of a bolus, change settings, or receive status updates. A specific distance is not required for basal delivery. The Pod will continue to deliver basal insulin even when the PDM is out of range.
‡The PEK includes a non-functioning, needle-free Pod which allows you to experience how it feels to wear a Pod. The demo Pod is for demonstrative purposes only and is not able to deliver insulin. This PEK is available only to people with type 1 diabetes who are on a current insulin treatment (e.g., multiple daily injections or insulin pump therapy). People with type 2 diabetes are not eligible to receive a PEK unless they reside in British Columbia. The PEK does not include a physical Omnipod DASH PDM.
